Cheuvront attended the Institut Études Européenes in 1981 where he studied French and Political Science. Two years later, he attended Claremont McKenna College and earned his B.A. in Political Science/Public Management. After earning his Bachelor's degree, Cheuvront attended the Université National de la Côte d'Ivoire in 1985, where he preformed graduate work. A year later, Cheuvront went to the American Graduate School of International Management and earned his Master's degree. In 1992, he studied at the Japanese/American Business Exchange in Iberaki, Japan.
Cheuvront's professional experience includes working as a Commodity Exchange Options Floor Trader for the Commodities Exchange Center, General Contractor/President for Cheuvront Construction, Legislative Trainer and Advisor at the National Conference of State Legislatures and the National Democratic Institute and owner of Cheuvront Wine and Cheese.
