Ken Schilz (1969-) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 47. He was first elected in 2008.

Born January 17, 1969 in Ogallala, Nebraska, Sen. Cornett is a farmer from Ogallala, NE. He is a member of the Keith County Foundation Board; Nebraska Cattleman, Ogallala City Planning and Zoning Commission, Nebraska Water Policy Task Force; board of directors, Nebraska Water Users (president), and the Governor’s Platte River Advisory Group. Ken Schilz earned his Bachelors degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1992.

Professional Experience

Ken Schilz worked as a farmer for McGinley Schilz Company from 1992 to 1995. Since 1995, Schilz has worked as a supervisor for McGinley Schilz

Political Experience

Ken Schilz began his political experience on the Nebraska Water Users Board of Directors in 1995. From 2000 to 2004, Schilz worked on the Governor's Platte River Advisory Committee. Since 2007, he has served on the Ogallala Planning and Zoning Committee and in 2008 Schilz joined the Nebraska State Legislature as a senator.
