On November 4, 2008, Ward finished first for the five-seat Strafford 2 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, receiving 3,731 votes, ahead of Democrats Roger Berube (3,725), Kenneth Ward (3,600), Michael Rollo (3,308) and others (38).[4]
