Kent Coleman (b. November 3, 1954) was a Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 49th District.Coleman joined the Tennessee State House of Representatives in 2003.

Coleman is an attorney.

Coleman earned his B.A. in Economics/Business from Vanderbilt University. He went on to receive his J.D. from Nashville School of Law.

Coleman ran for re-election to the 39th District seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the August 5 primary.[1] He was defeated by Republican Mike Sparks in the general election on November 2, 2010.


On Nov. 4, 2008, Coleman won re-election to the 49th District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponent Rick Womick (R).[2]

Coleman raised $133,318 for his campaign while Womick raised $57,668.[3]
