Meyer earned a B.S. Business Administration from University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1978. He went on to earn a M.P.A Public Administration from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and a M.B.A Business Administration from Alaska Pacific University, in Anchorage.
Prior to the Senate, Meyer served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 2000-2008. He also served on the Anchorage Assembly from 1993-2000, serving as the chair from 1999-2000. [1]
