Van De Wege earned his BA in Social Science from Washington State University. Previously he earned an ATA from Edmonds Community College, and a Certificate from Northwest Medical Training.
Van De Wege was a volunteer for Harborview Medical Center. He also worked as an EMT for Shannon Ambulance and as a Firefighter for the Sunnyside Fire Department.[1]

Kevin Van De Wege was re-elected to the Washington State House of Representatives District 24. He defeated Craig Durgan in the August 17, 2010 primary. He defeated Republican Dan Gase in the November 2, 2010 general election.[3]
