A Kingston Park District Creation measure was going tp be on the August 17, 2010 ballot in the city of Kingston which is in Kitsap County.
This measure would have sought to create a park district within the city of Kingston. Local residents were successful in petitioning for this measure. This district would also levy a tax of around $.15 per $1,000 of assessed value on property in the district area. The proposed park would include a 17,000 square foot community center along with an 8,000 square foot library center. The total cost is estimated around $5.3 million.[1]
