This measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $2 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road maintenance costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:
|Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Kingston Township be renewed at 2 mills ($ 2.00 Per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for the period of 2013 through 2016 inclusive for road maintenance; and shall the Township levy such renewal in millage for said purpose, thereby, raising in the first year an estimated $ 65,900.00?|
