Vanderman was unopposed in the May 18 Republican primary but lost to Democrat Timothy Solobay in the November 2 general election.[1]
Campaign themes
Vanderman's campaign website identified three main issues:
- He "has signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, promising to oppose any effort to increase taxes."
- He "believes that job creation was a top priority. He will work hard to improve our economy by cutting taxes and slashing government spending."
- He "will work for you to put an end to government-paid perks, pension grabs and pay raises."
