Kyle Abbott was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 36 of the Kansas State Senate.

Abbott worked for Abbot & Sons, Inc. from 2005 to 2012, and in the office of U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins in 2011.[1]

He received his Bachelor's in Political Science from Kansas State University in 2012, is a graduate of the 2011 Leadership Series, was 1st District Representative in Kansas Young Republicans, and is a former Kansas State University Student Senator.[1]

Abbott ran in the 2012 election for Kansas State Senate District 36. Abbott lost against Elaine S. Bowers in the Republican primary on August 7, 2012. Marquis Clark ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.
