La Center School District Replacement Levies, 2 (February 2010)

There were two La Center School District Replacement Levies measures on the February 9 ballot in Clark County for voters in the La Center school district.

The first measure was passed

  • YES 1,282 (54.79%)Approveda
  • NO 1,058 (45.21%)

The second measure was defeated

  • YES 1,090 (46.7%)
  • NO 1,244 (53.3%)Defeatedd[1]

The first measure sought to replace an existing levy that goes towards maintenance and operation expenses. The levy will be at a rate of $2.83 per $1,000 for a further three years.

The second measure sought to enact a technology fund levy which would be at a rate of $.31 for a further three years. If the first proposition had not gotten approved then this by default was also not be approved.[2]
