This measure had sought to ask voters if they felt that the Illinois state government should take steps to implement a more comprehensive pension program for those in the state. Village officials noted that they are struggling to keep up with pension needs and feel that the state should have a bigger role. though this measure is not binding, village officials hope it would show the state the feelings of residents.
This advisory question will also be asked in Naperville.
