Lake Shore Public Schools (Macomb) bond election, 2008
The election was scheduled by a vote of the district's school board.
The ballot question facing voters was whether to approve new district indebtedness of $9.7 million for the purposes of "Erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to and partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; acquiring, installing and equipping instructional technology for school facilities; improving and equipping existing playgrounds; and developing and improving sites."
The last time district voters approved a bond was in 1997, when a $32 million bond was enacted. If the current bond passes, the millage in the district does not increase, but the term for repayment does increase, from 2020 to 2023.

According to the district, the funds would go to:
- A new gymnasium,
- Reconstruction of student entrance at Lake Shore High School,
- Reconfiguration of entrance at Kennedy Middle School,
- Reconfiguration of entrance at Masonic Heights Elementary,
- New technology and playground equipment at Rodgers Elementary,
- New technology and playground equipment at Violet Elementary.
