Lake Stevens School District Replacement Levy, 2 (February 2010)

There were two Lake Stevens School District Replacement Levy measures on the February 9 ballot in Snohomish County for voters in the Lake Stevens school district.

Both measures were approved
Proposition 1

  • YES 4,439 (59.57%)Approveda
  • NO 3,013 (40.43%)

Proposition 2

  • YES 4,277 (57.46%)Approveda
  • NO 3,166 (42.54%)[1]

The first measure sought to renew an existing levy that was set to expire in order to further funding school programs and operation costs in the district. The levy will be in place for a further four years and will be at a rate of $2.87 per $1,000 of assessed value.

The second measure sought to add an additional $.36 for a further four years onto the already existing levy in order to help fund new technology upgrades and improvements in the district. [2]
