A Lake in the Hills Village Electricity Aggregation Question was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the village of Lake in the Hills which is in McHenry County.

This measure sought to allow the village government to buy electricity for residents and small businesses. Residents and businesses would be able to opt out of the program if they did not want to participate. If this measure had been approved, the village would have been able to negotiate lower rates because they would buy the electricity in bulk from the provider.[2]
