Langley City Government Change Question (August 2011)
This measure was defeated
- YES 109 (23.96%)
- NO 346 (76.04%)
This measure sought to change the city's form of government from the strong-mayor type to a council-manager form. The current form of government allows residents to directly vote for the city mayor, but the council form would have had the city council electing the mayor instead of residents. The city council had moved this measure from the November ballot, most of them did not wantt to have the government form changed.
