Gagne won re-election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Hillsborough 13. Gagne was unopposed in the September 11 primary and won re-election in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

On November 4, 2008, Gagne was elected by finishing third in the Hillsborough 13 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives taking one of the three potential seats there. Gagne (1,785) finished behind William Infantine (2,176) and Benjamin Baroody (2,113). He was followed by, Larraine Lencke (1,776), Catherine Hackett (1,647), and John Deeley (1,582).[4]
