Elections
2012
Ishmael ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Washington's 1st District. He ran as an Independent candidate and was defeated in the August 7 primary.
As of late July, polling had Republican John Koster leading his challengers, who are five Democrats and an independent. The same data showed Democratic candidate Suzan DelBene overtaking Darcy Burner for the second slot, thanks largely to a recent TV ad blitz from DelBene.[1]
