Larry Shumway is a former Utah Superintendent of Public Instruction. He was appointed to the position by the Utah State Board of Education, effective July 1, 2009.[1]

Biography

Prior to his appointment, Shumway served in the Utah State Office of Education as the coordinator of the Carson Smith Special Needs Scholarship Program, director of Educator Quality and Licensing, and Deputy Superintendent. He previously worked as superintendent of the Tooele School District and director of alternative schools and programs in the David School District.[1]
