A Lassen Library District parcel tax, Measure W ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in Lassen County, where it was defeated.

Measure W would have authorized the Lassen Library District to extend the parcel tax it levies ($28/year) to all "inhabitable dwelling units" within the district.

Currently, the tax is only levied on homeowners in the City of Susanville. It has been in effect there since 1994.

In September 2006, the geographic boundaries of the Lassen Library District were extended from the City of Susanville to include all inhabitable dwelling units in Lassen County by the Lassen Local Agency Formation Commission.
