Laura Ali was a 2013 Republican candidate for District 27 of the New Jersey General Assembly.[1]


Ali earned her B.S. in Management Information Systems and a minor in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island. Her professional experience includes owning a small business. She is a member of the Chatham Township Committee.[2]

On their shared Facebook page, Ali and Angelo Tedesco stated that they were running for office to, "bring a new spirit of engagement, accountability and results to NJ government."[3]

Ali ran in the 2013 election for New Jersey General Assembly District 27. Ali was bracketed with Angelo Tedesco and defeated Tayfun Selen in the June 4 Republican primary. She was defeated by incumbent John F. McKeon (D) and incumbent Mila M. Jasey (D) in the general election, which took place on November 5, 2013.[4][5][6][7]
