Laurence Ehrhardt is a former Republican member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives.
Ehrhardt attended Yale University in 1961. He then attended Harvard Business School in 1964.
Ehrhardt has served in the United States Navy. He worked as Treasurer for Moore McCormack Resources, Incorporated but is now retired.
Ehrhardt was a candidate for the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 2002 but was not elected. He was then elected to the Rhode Island House in 2005 and served there until his defeat in the 2012 general election.

Ehrhardt ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 32. Ehrhardt defeated Sharon Gamba in the September 11 Republican primary and was defeated by Robert Craven Sr. (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Ehrhardt won re-election to the 32nd District Seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14 Republican primary and defeated Democrat Richard Welch in the general election takes on November 2, 2010.[3][4][5]

In 2008 Ehrhardt was re-elected to the Rhode Island House District 32. Ehrhardt (R) finished with 3,820 votes while his opponent Mark Plympton (D) finished with 3,241 votes.[6] Ehrhardt raised $8,876 for his campaign fund.[7]
