Laurie J. Barrett was a Democratic candidate for District 76 of the Connecticut House of Representatives. The primary election was on August 10, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.


Barrett earned her B.S. in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in 1979. Her professional experience includes working as a case manager at Waterbury Hospital and as a preventive care coordinator with Ovation Benefits Group.[1]

Barrett was unopposed in the August 10 primary. She was defeated by incumbent Republican John Piscopo in the November 2 general election.[2][3]


Barrett and her husband, Bruce, have five children. They reside in Thomaston, Connecticut.[1]
