Shall the County of Lawrence impose a countywide sales tax at the rate of one-half of one percent for a period of seven (7) years from the date on which

such tax is first imposed for the purpose of maintenance and capital improvements for roads and bridges. This tax will go into effect January 1, 2014. (This is not a increase in tax, it is a continuation of a tax that has been in effect since 1985.)[2]
