Patterson earned a B.F.A. for University of Southern California in 1982. His professional experience includes working as a elderly representative, RE conveyance technician and field representative with the city of Norwalk.[1]

Patterson was uncontested in the August 10 primary. He was defeated by incumbent Democrat Auden Grogins in the November 2 general election.[2][3]
