The citizens of Idaho are granted the authority to perform a recall election by the Idaho Constitution, Article VI, Section 6 to all elective officers (excepting judicial officers).
Signature requirement

The number of valid signatures required for a recall election is 20 percent of the number of persons that voted in the last preceding election for the office of incumbent being recalled.
Circulating the recall petition
Circulation of the recall petition must be completed within 60 days after registration.
Appointment of successor
In Idaho, the governor appoints a successor to the recall official. The appointed successor must be a member of the same political party as the officeholder recalled, and must be selected from a list submitted by a committee of the political party of the person recalled.
