LeRoy Louden

LeRoy Louden (1936-) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 49. He was first elected in 2002, and was re-elected in 2004 and 2006.
Background
Sen. Louden is a cattle rancher, and National Weather Service observer from Ellsworth, Nebraska. Prior to his election to the Nebraska Legislature, Sen. Louden served on the District 3 Board of Directors (nine years), Panhandle Rural Electric Membership Association; legislative committee, Nebraska Rural Electric Association (six years); Sheridan County School Reorganization Board; secretary, District 119 School Board (30 years); president, Area 11 Nebraska Stockgrowers Association (1986). [1] Outside of politics, Sen. Louden is a member of the Elks Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Nebraska Cattlemen's Assocation in his hometown of Ellsworth.[2]
