There was a League City Government Change Measure on the May 8 ballot in League City which is in both Harris and Galveston Counties.

This measures was approved[1]

This measure asked the voters if they wanted to change the form of government from the current mayor-council version to a less strong council-manager type. This proposed amendment was brought about due to the lack of clarification in the charter about the duties entitled to the current mayor. There were 18 other proposed amendments on this ballot as well.[2] With so many proposed amendments on the ballot city officials were worried that voters could feel overwhelmed, but they had hoped to be able to educate voters on all the issues and ensure a educated vote.[3]
