Lee Anderson is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 117 from 2009 to 2013. He also serves on the Columbia Board of Education Committee, and on the Columbia County commission. Anderson was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 12th Congressional District of Georgia. He lost to incumbent John Barrow in the general election in November 2012.[1]
Biography
Anderson is a farmer, and a Deacon at Powell Baptist Church.
He is President of the Columbia County Farm Bureau and a member of Powell Baptist Church.[2]

Anderson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Georgia's 12th District.[4] The signature filing deadline was May 25, 2012, with the primary on July 31, 2012. He won the primary and defeated Rick W. Allen in the primary runoff.[5] Anderson was declared the winner in a recount.[6][7][8] Anderson was defeated by incumbent John Barrow (D) in the November 6, 2012 general election.

Anderson ran for re-election to the 117th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against him in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]
