A vote to recall Lee Corrao from his position as a member of the Petersburg, Alaska city council took place on the October 6, 2009 ballot in the city of Petersburg, Alaska. Corrao was recalled from his seat.

Election results

  • Yes: 496 (52.3%) Approveda
  • No: 453 (47.7%)

Those supporting the recall were motivated by Corrao's participation in a meeting about city business in violation of the Alaska Open Meetings Act. Some members of the Petersburg City Council were not made aware of the meeting and it was not open to the public. Corrao also allegedly held meetings at the home of a city council member, again in violation of the Open Meetings Act.
