Leonard Steinman was a 2014 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Missouri. He was defeated by incumbent Blaine Luetkemeyer in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014.[1]

He was previously a Libertarian candidate for Governor of Missouri in the 2012 elections, but he withdrew from the race on April 20, 2012.[2]


Steinman is a retired truck driver and perennial candidate in Missouri. He graduated from Jefferson City High School and earned a degree in welding technologies from Columbia College.[3]

Steinman ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Missouri's 3rd District. He was defeated by incumbent Blaine Luetkemeyer in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014.[1]

Steinman was seeking the Libertarian nomination for Governor of Missouri in 2012 but withdrew from the race before the August 7 primary election.


Steinman is married to fellow District 3 candidate, Velma Steinman.[4]
