Two Liberty & Tod Township Current Levy Addition measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the townships of Liberty and Tod which are in Crawford County.

Both measures were defeated

The Liberty measure sought to add to the current expenses levy by a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to further pay for current expenses in the township.

The Tod measure sought to add to current expenses levy by a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of three years in order to further pay for current expenses in the township.[1]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Liberty Measure: An additional tax for the benefit of Liberty Township for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Tod Measure: An additional tax for the benefit of Tod Township for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 3 years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
