A Liberty Township Fire Levy Addition measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the township of Liberty which is in Highland County.

This measure sought to add to the current fire levy by a rate of $.18 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of LIBERTY TOWNSHIP for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding 1.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.18 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 YEARS, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.
