Linda Hall was the Alaska Director of Insurance from March 3, 2003 to May 29, 2012. Hall was appointed Director of the Division of Insurance in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development in Alaska.[1]

Hall is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).[1] She has 18 years experience in the insurance industry as a commercial broker and served as the chair of the Alaska Workers Compensation Review and Advisory committee.[1] Hall is a past president of the Alaska Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers and represented Alaska on the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America from 1997 until 2003.[1]

Prior to working in the insurance industry, Hall was a high school English teacher in Michigan.[1]

Political career

Director of Insurance 2003-2012

Hall was appointed Director of the Division of Insurance in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development in Alaska. She started in the position on March 3, 2003.[1] Hall served until May 29, 2012, when she retired and was replaced by Bret S. Kolb.[2]
