Linda T. Sánchez (b. January 28, 1969) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing California's 39th congressional district. Sanchez was first elected to the House in 2002.

Sanchez is running for re-election in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing California's 38th District as a Democrat.[1] She was displaced from her current district, the 39th by redistricting. The open primary election will be held on June 5, 2012.

Biography

Sánchez was born in Orange, California. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1995.[2]

One was about a mile from her Lakewood home. Two were within three miles.[8]

Sanchez is running for re-election in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing California's 38th District as a Democrat. She was displaced from her current district, the 39th by redistricting. She is running against Benjamin Campos (R) and Jorge Robles (R) in the June 5, 2012, open primary.[9]

On November 2, 2010, Sanchez won re-election to the United States House. She defeated Larry Andre (R) and John A. Smith (American Independent) in the general election.[10]
