Campaign themes

2012

In a Portland Press Herald questionnaire, Valentino explained what she seeks to accomplish if winning office:

"Government reform. For 8 years, I have sponsored numerous bills that failed. One was to stop legislators from double-dipping by getting MCEA funds and having a PAC on the side. I tried to create a more transparent, efficient and accountable legislature that would save taxpayers $15 per budget. I have advocated for reforms for lobbyists and less bills being submitted. Change in Augusta will not come about by sending new faces into the same old system, we need to reform government."[2]
