Otondo won election in the 2012 election for Arizona House of Representatives District 4. Ontondo and Juan Carlos Escamilla defeated Charlene Fernandez in the August 28, 2012, Democratic primary. The two candidates are unchallenged in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
