Shepperson earned her BS in Finance from the University of Wyoming in 1997. Shepperson was a Financial Officer/Marketplace Specialist from 1997 to 2004. She is currently Owner/Manager of a Cow/Calf Operation and a rancher.
She resigned resigned in September 2011. Shepperson cited a desire to spend more time with her infant daughter and on her ranching business.[2]

Shepperson was re-elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives, District 58. She was unopposed in the general election on November 2, 2010. Shepperson defeated Republican Shawn Johnson in the August 17, 2010 primary election. [3][4]
