Jones was previously a member of the Montana House of Representatives from 2005-2011, serving as the Republican Whip.
Jones worked as a partner at Frontline Agriculture in 2006. He was also the owner of the following companies; Pure Bliss Cycles, Pondera RV Park, Jathco Systems, and Jones Ranch.
Jones received his MS in Economics from Montana State University in 1988.
