Loma Linda Open Space ballot measure (2008)
From Ballotpedia
The Loma Linda Open Space initiative appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Bernardino County as Measure T.
Measure T asked, "Shall approximately 1675 acres of land owned by the City of Loma Linda in the South Hills area be permanently preserved for open space and recreational uses?"
The ballot measure was approved to appear on the ballot by Loma Linda's city council. Not everyone on the council favored of the measure and some thought it was rushed onto the ballot to circumvent the forthcoming choices of Loma Linda's new mayor, Ovidiu Popescu, who some characterize as being a "growth-control opponent".
Measure T was approved with 87.45% of the vote.
