This measure sought to add to the current levy by a rate of $.83 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for emergency requirements as needed by the school.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall a levy be imposed by the London City School District for the purpose of PROVIDING FOR THE EMERGENCY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT in the sum of two million, five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average eight and thirty-three hundredths (8.33) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to eighty-three and three-tenths cents ($0.833) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013?
