Little Rock, Arkansas: Current Arkansas Auditor of State and long-time elected official Charlie Daniels (D) has announced that he would not seek another term for his office in 2014. Daniels, 74, will instead retire to spend more time with his family. He has served Arkansas since first getting elected as Commissioner of State Lands in 1984, a post which he held until 2002. In 2002, he became Secretary of State and served in that position until being elected to his current post in 2010.[1]
