Longboat Key Beach Renourishment Bond Measure (March 2011)
A Longboat Key Beach Renourishment Bond Measure was on the March 15, 2011 ballot in the Longboat Key beach area which is in both Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
This measure was approved
- YES 357 (82.93%)
- NO 74 (17.17%)[1]
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $16 million in order to help pay for erosion control projects on the beach. Sine it was approved, an additional property tax will be added to local resident's rates in order to pay for the bond debt.[2]
