Tobacco's professional experiences include assistant director of contract oversight, Borough of Staten Island; legislative aide for New York State Assembly's Intern Program; senior professional healthcare representative for Pfizer Incorporated; summer intern for Staten Island Borough President Guy Molinari; and congressional intern for United States Representative Guy Molinari.
Tobacco earned a BA in political science from State University of New York Albany. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children; Madison and Christian.[1]

Tobacco defeated Albert Albanese (D) in the general election on November 2.[3] In addition to his slot on the Republican Party ticket, he was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Conservative Party.
