Louis Dipalma (b. April 20, 1961) has been a Democratic member of the Rhode Island Senate since 2008, representing the 12th district.

Education

Dipalma earned his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Bridgeport in 1983. He went on to receive his MS in Computer Science from Brown University in 1989.

Professional experience

Dipalma worked for Raytheon from 1983 to the present in the following positions: Engineer from 1983 to 1996, Engineering Sector Manager from 1996 to 2000, Systems Engineering Department Manager from 1999 to 2000, Southwest Engineering Department Manager from 2000 to 2003, Southwest Engineering Director from 2003 to 2007, and Techincal Director from 2007 to the present.

Political experience

Dipalma was a council member for the Middletown Town Council from 2004 to the present. He joined the Rhode Island State Senate in 2008. He has served in that position since, representing the 12th district.

Dipalma and his wife Margaret have two children.
