Louisiana Ballot Measure 3, also known as the Property Rights Act, was on the October 4, 2003 special election ballot in Louisiana as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.

  • No: 408,691 (39%)

Text of the proposal

The language that appeared on the ballot:

To authorize the legislature to limit the extent of recovery for the taking of, or loss or damage to, property rights affected by coastal wetlands conservation, management, preservation, enhancement, creation, or restoration activities.
