Louisiana state executive official elections, 2012
|
|
One state executive position was up for election in 2012 in the state of Louisiana.
- Louisiana Public Service Commission (1 officer)- Scott Angelle

The blanket primary took place on November 6, 2012. Scott Angelle received more than 50% of the vote, thus eliminated the need for a runoff. Had Angelle not garnered a simple majority in the primary, a runoff would have taken place on December 8, 2012.[1]
Incumbent James Field (R) did not seek re-election to a third term on the Louisiana Public Service Commission.[2] Five candidates vied for the open seat, and Scott Angelle won by enough votes in the primary on November 6th to avoid a runoff election.[3]
November 6 primary candidates:[4]
Scott Angelle
Ed Roy (withdrew from the race on September 7th)[5]
Erich Ponti
Sarah Holliday
