Linda Menard is a former Republican member of the Alaska State Senate, representing the G District from 2009 to 2013.

Menard received a B.A. in elementary education from the University of Alaska in 1975.

Prior to joining the senate, Menard was a member of the Mat-Su Borough School Board from 1996-2007.

Personal

Menard was born in Cheboygan, Michigan. She is widowed and has four children.[6] One of her children, Steve Menard, served on the city council of Wasilla, Alaska, before being recalled by voters in February 2012.[7]
