A Macon County School Sales Tax Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Macon County.

This measure sought to increase the county sales tax by 1 percent in order to help pay for school construction costs. All but one school district in the county voted to approve this measure for the ballot. The Decatur school district area will get the majority of the tax money, their proposed project was to renovate two high school in the district, a proposed $70 million to complete.[2]
