Maine Leads

Maine Leads is a not-for-profit, non-partisan action and advocacy group in Maine. According to its website, the group "brings citizens together, and offers the tools they need to achieve lower taxes, government transparency and economic freedom."
About ballot initiatives, the group says,"We turn valuable ideas into powerful citizen initiative campaigns. The citizen initiative lets us vote for the accountability and prosperity politicians have failed to provide."
Maine Leads is backing three Maine ballot initiatives for the 2009 ballot:
- Maine Tax Relief Initiative (2009)
- Maine Excise Tax Repeal (2009)
- Maine Affordable Health Insurance Initiative (2009)
